I remember what it felt like to be lost in my own life, silenced by my mental health symptoms, and feeling little to no hope in it changing.

It seemed like other people just had it together. They knew what they wanted in life, things came relatively easy for them, and they weren’t having an identity crisis every year.

On top of that, it was never really clear how to change when all I was told was, “do the work,” “find a therapist,” and “sit in your feelings.”

The reason why I love to do this work is not only because it saved my own life, but because I deeply know that when we are informed and aligned with ourselves, we are beyond powerful.

about me

I have a masters degree in counselling, and focus my life’s work on emotion and identity. I listen, feel, and breathe connection.

Because the relationship we have with ourselves is the most important one we will ever have, I will always emphasize how powerful it is to embrace our own individual healing journeys.

I believe that identity, self-expression, and connection to self, is the most powerful gift we can give ourselves.

I harnessed my own life experience and took control of my story. I learned and experienced all of the gaps that the system had, and what people were experiencing.

Creativity brought out a side of me that I never knew existed; imagination and expression.

My Story

  • 2015-2017

Lowest point in my mental health, abusive relationship, isolated/alone, depressed, anxious, numb to many things in my life. Realized I needed to do something to take back my life and start working towards the life I wanted.

  • 2018-2020

Deep dive into therapy work, realizing that I didn’t just need to work on the issues I had with everyone else, I had to take a magnifying glass into the relationship I had with myself. In order to achieve overall wellness I had to start doing identity work, learning how to self-express, understanding my own narrative, and putting my thoughts into real actions. I had a huge identity and knowledge shift about who I was as a person and started living in alignment with who I wanted to be.

  • 2020-2023

Started full time private practice and 1-1 therapy work, while also working in provincial health care. On top of that I was also doing both wedding photography/videography work on weekends and evenings deepening my creative expression. I was helping hundreds of people heal, challenge, and break free from the assumptions, beliefs, and systems that tell us who we have to be. Teaching, identifying, and implementing endless amounts of skills to help manage symptoms.

2023 - present

I recognized that as a whole, our mental health system was expensive, a privileged space, filled with long waitlists, largely inaccessible, lack of early or sustainable intervention, and most commonly valued healing in isolation.

Out of this came THE WELLNESS CLUB - an accessible and interactive educational membership program for people who are ready to take action in their life and establish long term wellness.

“Self-reflection is this constant process that is always happening within us. When we peel ourselves back inch by inch, moment by moment, we start to see ourselves in a more gentle and compassionate lens. We understand our story, what happened to us, and how it shaped us. It’s never too late to come home to ourselves, to see one another, to feel a stronger sense of identity. We heal together.” -Nikki
